Incentives to comply:
Environmental Health Watch (EHW) administers incentive fee payments in the amount of $750 for each unit that receives a lead-safe certificate and $1,000 for each unit that receives a lead-free exemption. Payments criteria is defined as 12 units per zip code up to a maximum of 50 units citywide.

A recent addition per EHW allows incentive fee payments for both the initial certification and the first recertification. After an owner receives the Lead Safe Certificate (or exemption letter) from the City of Cleveland, it must be submitted to EHW, along with a W-9 form, and proof of current estate tax payments.

CHN HOUSING PARTNERS
CHN is designed and marketed towards low-income owners. CHN provides spec writing, contractor(s), and final clearance exam.
All applicants that are current on their taxes can obtain grants of $4,500 per unit to cover the cost of work, regardless of income. In addition, Income-qualified owners are eligible to receive grants of $20,000 per unit. See below for CHN's contact information:
